The Governors of New Jersey: Biographical Essays

This program with Michael Birkner, Professor of History at Gettysburg College and co-editor of The Governors of New Jersey: Biographical Essays, was presented by Eagleton’s Center on the American Governor. It was held to mark publication of the new edition of The Governors of New Jersey by Rutgers University Press. Professor Birkner was also an editor of the first volume which profiled New Jersey’s governors from the 1600s through Governor William Cahill who served from 1970-1974. The new volume adds essays about the governors who served from 1974 through 2010.
