Governors’ Perspectives with Kent Manahan
New Jersey is fortunate to have had many exceptional governors. One of the attributes that seems to distinguish our state’s chief executives from their colleagues in many other states is a commitment to remain active in New Jersey’s political and civic life after leaving office.
As individuals but also surprisingly often as bi-partisan groupings of two or more, they add to public discourse and understanding by offering their reflective experience based on years in Trenton. They speak to classes, appear on panels and broadcasts, support non-profit initiatives and organizations, write op-eds and offer off-the-record advice to the current governor regardless of party.
There is no better place to experience this continued commitment than by viewing Governors’ Perspectives with Kent Manahan, the Emmy nominated series discussing a wide range of issues important to voters. These former New Jersey leaders offer a unique opportunity to better understand how government works for the people.
The Eagleton Center On The American Governor is proud to help make this resource better known by updating this page with the series’ latest episodes.
