Harold Hodes served as Chief of Staff and Deputy Chief of Staff to Governor Byrne. As the Governor’s Chief of Staff, he coordinated all legislative and executive agency activities for the Administration. Prior to joining Governor Byrne’s staff, he was executive assistant to Newark Mayor Kenneth Gibson. He has also served as a Commissioner on the board of the New Jersey Turnpike Authority; a member of the Board of Trustees of Monmouth University; and a visiting professor at the Eagleton Institute of Politics at Rutgers University. He is active in state and national Democratic Party politics and has advised both presidential and gubernatorial campaigns. He is presently senior partner and co-founder of Public Strategies Impact LLC, a Trenton-based firm providing services in government relations, public relations and association management. Mr. Hodes holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from Monmouth University and has pursued graduate work at New York University.
