Richard Keevey was the Director of the Office of Management and Budget (State Budget Director and State Comptroller) under Governors Jim Florio and Tom Kean. He also served in senior positions in the administrations of Governors Hughes, Cahill, and Byrne. After leaving state government, Keevey was appointed by the President as the Deputy Under Secretary of Defense for Finance and then the Assistant Secretary and the Chief Financial Officer for the Department of Housing and Urban Development. After government service, Rich was a Practice Director for Finance at Arthur Anderson and Unisys Corporation. Keevey served on numerous state and federal boards and commissions including the state Tax Policy Commission and the Board of Directors of NJ Transit. Rich is a Fellow of the National Academy of Public Administration. At the time of the interview, Keevey was a Senior Policy Fellow at the Bloustein School of Planning and Policy at Rutgers University and a Lecturer at the Woodrow Wilson School, Princeton University.
