Hazel Gluck is a founder of the well-known public affairs firm, Public Policy Advisors, Inc. She became principal and then president of its successor firm, The GluckShaw Group, and in 2004 became a partner in the newly formed firm, MBI-GluckShaw. Her 40-year career in public service included elected and appointed positions at the local, county and state levels. In the 1980’s, she held various positions in the cabinet of former Governor Thomas H. Kean including commissioner of the Department of Insurance in (1985), commissioner of Transportation and chair of the New Jersey Transit Corporation (1986-1989). She had previously been executive director of the New Jersey Lottery and also served as a Commissioner of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey. In 1977, Ms. Gluck was the first woman ever elected to the Ocean County Board of Chosen Freeholders. She was then elected to the New Jersey General Assembly in 1979. She has most recently been appointed by former Governor Corzine to the New Jersey Commission on Government Efficiency and Reform.
