Elizabeth Murray was a policy director during Christie Todd Whitman’s successful gubernatorial campaign in 1993 and then filled several roles in her administration. She was a member of Governor-elect Whitman’s transition team before taking a position in the Department of Banking. Subsequently, she was part of the Governor’s Office of Policy and then later worked on Governor Whitman’s re-election campaign. During Whitman’s second term, Murray was Chief of Staff for the Board of Public Utilities.
