Edward Meara started his career during the Administration of Governor Robert Meyner as a political reporter for the Trentonian and the New York Times. He was frequently a tennis or social companion to New Jersey governors from Robert Meyner through Thomas Kean. He founded his own government relations and lobbying firm prior to being named as executive director of the Mercer County Chamber of Commerce, a position he held for over 20 years. He continues as an associate with the Trenton-based lobbying firm, MBI GLuckShaw. He is a graduate of Rutgers University with a B.A. in English and Political Science.
