George Albanese is currently president and co-founder of Alman Group, LLC. Albanese served as commissioner of the New Jersey Department of Human Services under Governor Thomas H. Kean from 1982 to 1988. Prior to his cabinet service, he served as the first Union County manager appointed under the Charter Reform Act. Since 1988, Albanese has been president of Alman Group, a Westfield-based consulting firm specializing in a wide variety of areas including governmental affairs, non-profit fundraising leadership training and business management services. Albanese is a graduate of Rutgers University and earned an MPA from New York University.
